Castle Caereinion WI members recently held their second meeting in March.
WI members were welcomed by group president Linda Pengelly.
The meeting was host to a speech by Dougie Bancroft of Wales Air Ambulance.
His talk consisted of reminding the WI members on the importance of the Air Ambulance in rural communities.
Castle Caereinion WI had recently sent a donation of £180 to Air Ambulance, raised through the group’s carol singing.
Mr Bancroft also judged the group’s paper airplane competition.
WI members were then treated to a tea prepared by Junko Cannon and Shirley Grove.
The group was photographed with a quilt knitted by Meg Evans, which has since been sent to Poland as part of the recent Speed Welshpool effort to help Ukrainian refugees.
Castle WI meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7.00 pm and new members are welcome.
