The Bench Chairman for Montgomeryshire has retired after 24 years of public service.
Susan Usmar JP stepped down from her role as Bench Chairman at the magistrates' court in Welshpool in March 2022.
Over her 24-year career on the bench, Mrs Usmar has served in Kent before working in the Montgomeryshire area since 2006.
A spokesperson for Welshpool Magistrates' Court said: “She will be missed by all her colleagues with not only her years of experience but also having served as the Bench Chair for the last three years.”
Her retirement was marked by a presentation from her successor, the Bench Chair Elect, Stephen Pembroke as well as her colleagues and the High Sherriff, Peter James MBE.
Mr Pembroke officially moved into the role of Bench Chair on April 1.
