The new Burger King restaurant in Newtown has been given a five-star food hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency.

It is among 14 establishments around Powys to have been given new ratings, and was given a clean bill of health by health officials following a visit last month.

The visit took place on March 22 – almost immediately after the new restaurant had opened.

Another new establishment, Fabrizio's Italian Restaurant which opened in the former Moo's cafe building in Buttington, has also been given a five-star rating by hygiene inspectors.

Here is the full list of hygiene ratings given to 14 establishments across Powys, according to the Food Standards Agency's website.
