WORK to carry out essential highway drainage improvements in a Powys village have begun.
The work, on the southern edge of Beulah, near Llanwrtyd Wells, is to future proof the system, improve network resilience and reduce risk to surrounding residents – even more vital in the wake of last weekend’s ferocious storms.
The work began on February 14 and is expected to end on March 16.
Traffic Wales say the work will be carried out during day time between 8am and 5pm with the site clearly delineated by traffic management.
No full closures of the A483 are planned as part of the works.
