DROPPING litter proved a costly decision for one teenager from Welshpool.
Daniel Raftery was fined £440 by magistrates in Birmingham after he dropped a cigarette in Smallbrook Queensway on July 30, last year.
The 19-year-old, of Gungrog Road, was found guilty at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 22, this year.
Magistrates also ordered he pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £175, making a total of £659.
