THERE’S never too much to celebrate in January – but the Beefy Boys coming to Powys this weekend is something to get seriously flipping excited about.
The lads return to the tiny Radnorshire village of Dolau, near Llandrindod Wells, this Saturday, January 15, operating from their truck outside Dolau Community Hall, and they’re encouraging locals and visitors alike to get down early to avoid any disappointment.
“This Saturday we are popping up at Dolau Primary School (LD1 5TW)m serving from 11am until 5pm,” they announced on their Facebook page.
“Last time we went here it was absolutely rammo all day so get down early to avoid disappointment. See you there.”
And burgers are not all that’s brilliant about this as Saturday is primed to be an absolute food feast – and doughnut lovers will also want to have their fill.
Powys-based sweet treat company Deez Dough Nutz are also going to be on hand, so after you’ve had a burger you can finish it off with a delicious doughnut for dessert.
Deez Dough Nutz is the brainchild of Chole Paosila-Jones, who quit her dead end teaching job during the pandemic to start her own baking business – from her mum’s kitchen in Llanddewi.
“Let's get back to the markets baby,” reads a post on the Deez Dough Nutz Facebook page.
“We're itching to get back to the after having some time off. Here are the trading locations coming up: Saturday, January 15, Dolau Community Hall. We shall be joining @thebeefyboys creating the PERFECT combo of doughnuts and burgers. Holy moly. From 11am.”
Powys taste buds are in for a mouth-watering weekend - just make sure you prepare yourselves to enter a food coma.
