AN unknown amount of people were taken to hospital with injuries following a two-car collision in northern Powys earlier this week.
The road traffic collision occurred between Welshpool and Guilsfield on Wednesday evening, January 5, and closed the road for several hours.
“We were called to a two-car collision on the A490 Welshpool to Guilsfield at around 6pm on Wednesday, January 5,” said Dyfed Powys Police.
“The road was blocked by the cars. An ambulance also attended. The road reopened at around 8.30pm.”
There were no details on the people who were taken to hospital and the Wales Ambulance Service have been contacted but are yet to respond to query.
Police had asked motorists travelling in the area to avoid it after the accident.
