A SINGLE vehicle road collision caused a major Powys road to be closed late on Thursday night (December 30).
The crash involved a small black hatchback, with two of the car’s three occupants taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering injuries – though they were not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident occurred on the A470 in Nant Ddu, between Brecon and Merthyr Tydfil, at around midnight. Dyfed Powys Police announced at around 8am on New Year’s Eve (today) that the road was back open.
“The A470 in Nant Ddu has now reopened. Thank you for your patience,” the force tweeted this morning.
Last night, police had reported: “The A470 is currently closed due to a single vehicle collision. Two of three occupants injured and transferred to hospital by @WelshAmbulance – fortunately not life changing/threatening. Please slow down and drive to the conditions.”
