GUILSFIELD never looked back after two goals in the opening 10 minutes inspired a 3-0 win at Llangefni Town in JD Cymru North.

Jamie Hyne broke the deadlock after just five minutes and Iwan Matthews doubled the lead from the penalty spot just two minutes later.

The Guils sealed the spoils with 15 minutes remaining of the match with Hyne completing his double to keep his side in third place in the table.

Elsewhere Llanrhaeadr returned back to earth with a bump in a 5-1 defeat at league leaders Airbus UK Broughton.

Having won their first game of the season last week the villagers made the trip to Broughton with renewed confidence and restricted their high-flying hosts to a solitary goal before the break with Beau Cornish netting.

However the hosts pulled away after the break with Adam Davies netting twice and goals from Jake Eyre and Oliver Lanceley.

The villagers reduced the arrears late on with Harrison Lewis on target while Joe Vaughan also saw an injury time strike cancelled out by the offside flag.

Meanwhile Penrhyncoch clawed back a point in a 2-2 draw at Conwy Borough.

Meilir Williams and Sean McCaffrey strikes gave the Tangerines a half-time lead but the Roosters showed their spirit and completed a stirring fightback with Ifan Burrel reducing the arrears before Geoff Kellaway snatched a late equaliser.

Llanidloes Town fell to a 2-0 defeat at Ruthin Town with the Daffodils paying the price for a missed penalty.

Dan Cox's 35th minute strike separated the sides at the break but Llanidloes had a chance to level on the hour only for Connor Bird's penalty to be saved by Ryan Goldston.

Ruthin made the most of their reprieve and just a minute later William Owen doubled the lead to ensure a pointless return home for Chris Davies' men.
