A major office development in Newtown has been acquired by new owners who plan help stem the shortage of good quality administrative offices in the region.

St David’s Business Centre has been bought for an undisclosed amount and offices will now be let through the local estate and letting agents, Morris, Marshall and Poole with Norman Lloyd.

The new owners say they are committed to investing in the town centre property which has its own onsite maintenance and management team focussed on providing a full service to tenants.

The three-floor building, known as St David’s House, has single offices, office suites, and open plan areas ranging from as little as 140sq ft and 2,000sq ft.

“Historically, there has been a shortage of good quality office accommodation in mid Wales. Larger and more modern office facilities such as St David’s House are few and far between,” said letting agent Huw Evans.

“The property is currently home to a range of national and local organisations operating in the care, education, training, financial, housing and legal sectors. With the onsite managed facility this is a prime site for businesses and organisations looking for a prominent address in Wales with good access to the Midlands, south and north Wales.”

The offices are just a few minutes walk from the town’s railway station which links to the West Midlands, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, London and the north-west of England, as well as to the coast at Aberystwyth.

The main A483 trunk road also provides good communications throughout Wales and into the West Midlands.

Each office has full fibre broadband connectivity, perimeter trunking, carpets, gas central heating, communal kitchen facilities and allocated parking.

“The offices can be adapted for tenants, including those looking to expand their tenancy. The accommodation is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of sole traders, small or medium-sized businesses or regional hubs. This style of office accommodation is quite limited in the region,” added Huw.
