POWYS is represented in the Welsh squad for the forthcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Wales host Greece in Llanelli on November 26 and travel to France's Roudourou Stadium in Guingamp.
Eighteen-year-old Manchester United midfielder Carrie Jones, a former Newtown and Llanfair Caereinion High School pupil, is joined in the squad by Llanidloes raised Maria Francis-Jones, also 18, who is now on the books of Manchester City.
Completing Powys interest is 23-year-old winger Ceri Holland who qualifies for Wales through her Llanfyllin-born mother.
