POLICE are appealing for information after a road traffic collision near the Powys/Herefordshire border in which a man died.
The incident occurred in Aymestrey, about 10 miles from Presteigne, at around 9.30am today (Wednesday, November 17). West Mercia Police officers received a report of a collision between a blue Honda Civic and a yellow Audi on the A4110.
Officers, West Midlands Ambulance and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue services attended the incident.
Sadly, one of the drivers, a 79-year-old man from Aymestrey, died.
The other driver and a passenger were taken to Hereford County Hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. The road remains closed and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers would like anyone who saw the cars being driven or captured them on dash cam to please get in touch.
