The judges will include Meifod-raised and internationally-renowned harpist Professor Ieuan Jones, Professor Ian Fountain, Dr Louise Lansdown and Kevin Gowland.
The Honourable Daniel Davies will be visiting as teh competition's new President following the death of the late President Lady Bea Davies.
A spokesperson for the competition said: "The heart of our competition is the opportunity that it offers to extraordinarily talented, aspiring young musicians: such opportunities, in short supply of late, are so important in the development of tomorrow’s professional musicians.
"We are indebted to our sponsor, Mr Hywel Lloyd of Lloyds Animal feeds, for his continued support of the competition. We hope to see you, in person, on competition day in the beautiful surroundings of Gregynog Hall."
