We're lucky to live in one of the most picturesque parts of the world.
And right now you can see it in all its glory as these stunning pictures from County Times Camera Club member Jonathan Rudd demonstrate.
Jonathan took these while on a visit to the Elan Valley, and in particular the Craig Goch Dam.
He explained: "We relocated as a family to the region earlier in the year and have had a steady steam of friends and family visitors up over the summer which has been great.
"Most recently was last week when we visited the picturesque Elan Valley, during the lovely autumn weather we are enjoying.
"Seeing that Craig Goch Dam is now open with the recent works complete and the reservoir filling up, we thought we’d stop and take a few photographs, to show our house guests and keep our wider family posted on social media.
"We love mid Wales, especially now that we can call it home."
