A FLOOD alert has been issued for the River Dyfi around Machynlleth following heavy rain on Monday evening and Tuesday morning
Natural Resources Wales says river levels are currently above normal and that some localised flooding issued may occur.
A spokesman said they would continue to monitor the situation.
They said: "Areas around the river Dyfi, from Dinas Mawddwy and Llanbrynmair to the estuary, including Machynlleth
"In addition to the area detailed, some localised flooding problems may result from surface water.
"River levels are above normal.
"We will continue to monitor the situation."
