Llanidloes Town Football Club hosted a successful junior football festival last weekend
Clubs from across mid Wales sent sides, including Berriew, Welshpool, Knighton Town, Llanidloes Town and Llanfair United with much fun had and friendships formed.
The festivals form part of the Football Association of Wales (FAW) strategic plan - a six year plan to increase participation and improve facilities.
It also allowed children from across Powys to return to action after months of lockdown frustrations.
FAW chief executive Noel Mooney said: “There’s so much support in Wales for football, and now is the moment to align our resources to become one of the world’s great footballing nations. We are striving for excellence both on and off the field.
“We have identified six strategic pillars and we will deliver these with our partners to create a happier, healthier and successful Wales.”
