MOTORISTS are being asked to avoid a road in rural Radnorshire after it was shut following an incident.

The A488 between Bleddfa, near Knighton, and Dolau, near Llandrindod Wells, was closed on Saturday morning (August 28) at around 6am following the incident, with police not elaborating on whether it’s a road traffic collision or something else.

“ROAD CLOSE. The A488 between Bleddfa and Dolau is CLOSED due to an incident,” Dyfed Powys Police tweeted early on Saturday.

“Officers are at scene and we ask that you find alternative routes whilst we deal with this incident. Thank you for your cooperation.”
