The Big Magic Dance Band return to live action in Welshpool's brand new dance venue, the 1898 Club this weekend.
On Saturday night, August 21, Big Magic Dance Band will be introducing their new saxophone player, Kizzy-Mae Rowebotham with a vinyl DJ also on hand to play vintage and modern records.
Local musician Kizzy Mae will be performing on Alto saxophone and she'll be teaming up with Niall Ross on Tenor saxophone and John Hextall on Baritone, sax in the brass section.
Another debutante at the 1898 Club is the group's new drummer, Gareth Winstone from North Wales.
Gareth will join Lydia Homer on piano, Richie Davies on bass guitar, Rob Venables on harmonica and Eddy Gartry on lead guitar and vocals.
The band plan to showcase some of their own dance songs, newly written for their forthcoming album 'Short Stories' due to be released later in the year, along with their long overdue return of live shows in Town and village halls across the area.
Tickets are available at the door, priced at only, £5.00 each. The club is expecting a good turnout of regular Big Magic Dance Band fans, so, people are encouraged to attend early, to avoid any disappointment.
The show begins around 8.30pm.
