BRECON Corries and Builth Wells shared a goalless draw in the searing heat of the Rich Field on the opening day of the MMP-NL Mid Wales League East.
Declan Gaydon shone in the home goal as the Bulls were left to rue a series of good chances to earn all three points, while James Spooner produced one fine save for the Bulls.
The match was marred by an altercation between the Corries' Luke Roughley and Builth midfielder Danny Ives late on, which saw both players dismissed with 10 minutes remaining.

Meanwhile fellow new boys Llanfyllin Town came out on top in a 2-1 win at Newtown Wanderers in the only other fixture.
Ryan Jones opened the scoring with a low ninth minute free-kick for the visitors with Wanderers back on terms before the break with Robbie Hartshorn heading home.
A 65th minute strike from Lee Griffiths settled the outcome after the break and Wanderers could not find their way back into the game.
Newtown Wanderers Football Club's kit is being sponsored by the town's Lion pub this season.
