The new tennis season has got off to a big bang at Bishop’s Castle Tennis Club with free coaching courses for children, teens and adults.
Demand was so strong for the three-day Easter Holiday Camp, that Club Coach Lucy Taylor held extra sessions for young people aged 10 and 18.
The Club said more free organised tennis sessions starts on Saturday morning (April24). Adult players also thronged the courts for free taster coaching with Lucy. All five-week coaching courses starting in April are fully booked too.
“The Springtime demand to play tennis from children, teens and adults has been fantastic," said Gren Jackson, Club Chair. "We have loads more on offer for people to join in."
In May all primary and junior schools are being offered free professional taster sessions and there will be two more free taster coaching sessions for adults.
On May 16, the Club hosts an ‘Open Day’ for families, juniors and adults. There is also extra discounted coaching lessons for children and teenagers on Sunday afternoons.
Those just wishing to play can simply book a court on the website: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/BishopsCastleTennisClub. Rackets are provided.
