LOCKDOWN restrictions have eased in recent weeks and if you’re looking for the perfect outing to celebrate you might want to head for the tiny Radnorshire village of Dolau on April 18.
Why, you ask? Well, gourmet burger company The Beefy Boys are coming, that’s why.
Dolau Community Hall announced on their Facebook page on Friday that the hugely popular Hereford-based restaurant will be bringing a mobile burger bar to the village, near Llandrindod Wells, between 12 noon and 8pm on Sunday, April 18.
“We are very excited that The Beefy Boys will be coming to Dolau on Sunday 18th April from 12 noon - 7/8pm. Anyone else excited?,” said a post.
“Please note if government rules change the date may have to be rearranged.”
The Beefy Boys have caused a sensation locally, including Mid Wales, since storming onto the scene back in 2011.
The company was set up by four friends, amateur cooks who shared a passion for local produce and dirty American-style burgers and BBQ.
They entered the UK’s biggest BBQ competition, Grillstock, in Bristol, in 2014, winning the coveted title of Best Burger.
From there they moved on to the prestigious World Food Championships in Las Vegas a year later, where they competed against 50 of the best burger chefs in the world for the title of World’s Best Burger – and finished runners-up overall with their ‘Butty Bach Burger’.
The Beefy Boys used their winnings in Vegas to open a restaurant, The Beefy Boys Meat Boutique, in Hereford, in 2016.
