POLICE have been investigating reports of gun shots in a south Shropshire town on Saturday afternoon.
West Mercia Police officers said the reports came into them at around 2pm on Saturday.
A larger than normal police presence was in Bishop's Castle as officers responded to the reports, but "nothing was found".
South Shropshire's safer neighbourhoods team said: "A thank you from PC Coote to residents of Bishop's Castle whilst officers dealt with a report of gun shots at 2pm today.
"Nothing found all appears in order.
"This involved a number of officers and resources to be deployed and increased activity."
No more information has been made available by West Mercia Police.
