A village chapel near Rhayader could be given a new lease of life as a dwelling if plans are given the go-ahead.
A planning application has been submitted to convert Green Chapel in Pant-y-dwr into a home.
Alan Powell, from Hereford, has submitted the application to Powys County Council with the intention to convert the vacant chapel into a single dwelling with new vehicular access.
If the plans are given the green light, Mr Powell will be able to convert the chapel into a three-bedroom property, with two bathrooms on the first floor, and a kitchen, lounge and dining area on the ground floor. Plans also include parking space for three vehicles.
To comply with ecological requirements, four bat slits in soffit are included in the planning designs.
