Our thanks for this week’s 'memory lane' picture go to Joy Barker (nee Wynn), who popped in to the office to share this cracking picture from her collection.

Featured are five workmen from her father’s firm ‘Wynn’s’, who conducted logging operations in and around the Welshpool area in the 1940s, taking a break from their activities to pose for a quick picture.

And judging by the huge pile of timber behind them when the picture was taken, they’d clearly had a busy morning!
