ATHERTON Thelma Passed away peacefully on 1st October 2024, at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital aged 89 years, formerly of Priest Weston and Stiper Stones Court, Shrewsbury. Beloved mum of Simon, Joy, Jill and the late Gary. A loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother. A private Family funeral service will take place at Green Lane Burial Field, Abermule on Saturday 26th October, followed by a gathering at The Dragon Hotel Montgomery to celebrate and share stories of Thelma's life. The family invite guests to join them here from midday onwards. Feel free to wear something with colour, black attire not necessary. Family flowers only. Any donations given in her memory will be gratefully received for Alzheimer's Research UK or the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust.
