HUGHES Alun Tegai Of Tregynon passed away peacefully in Bronglais Hospital on Tuesday, 19th July 2022 aged 62 years. Dearly loved husband of Janet and a much loved dad of John and Catrin. A private burial service will be held in Tregynon Cemetery followed by a funeral service at Newtown Methodist Church on Monday, 8th August at 1pm. I am so sorry to hear of Alun's passing; we were friends at university through the mild madness that was Jomsvikings - the science fiction and fantasy society. I remember him as a true gentleman, very intelligent and self-deprecating, and he and his family made me welcome at Gregynog. We once went out after dark to look for badgers, which was wonderful - I'd never seen one before!
I would like to pass on my sincere condolences to his family who have lost a lovely man far too soon.
