STOPP Joan Mary Passed away peacefully on July 9th 2022 aged 86 years of Guilsfield. Beloved wife of Peter, much loved mother to Nigel and Maureen, dearly loved mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral service at Guilsfields Parish Church on Friday 29th July 2022 at 11am, followed by interment at Guilsfield Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if so desired to Hope House Childrens Hospice or Shropshire Cat Rescue. Please wear bright colours. Enquiries please to R G Peate Funeral Director 01938 559256.

So sorry to hear of this news. I first met Joan way back in 1979. We hit it off immediately and chatted non stop during our times together.
I was planning on a visit to see Joan recently but got delayed due to another family member being taken into care. She was a lovely lady and my mother in law a very long time ago. We were in touch with each other as we always got on so very well.
She made the most wonderful cakes, had a great sense of fun and cared very much for her family. She loved living in Wales after moving here several years after myself when she retired.
She enjoyed being part of the local community and her bell ringing over the years. I am sure she will be sadly missed by so many.
