GLUCK Jonathan (Jo) 1949-2022 Fran, Ben and Simon would like to thank everyone for the cards, condolence messages, donations, love and support received during Jo's illness and after his death. Thank you to the palliative care team at Caereinion Medical Centre for their wonderful care and kindness to Jo and his family particularly during the last days of his life. Thank you to Sarah Davies, Rachel, Gwenda, Maria and Ruth, and a very special thank you to Dr Eleri Gittins who went above and beyond the call of duty, we will never forget her kindness. Thank you to Geraint and Ann Peate for organising the funeral. Their kindness and sensitivity was so appreciated. Jonathan Gluck (Jo) died peacefully at home in Llanfair Caereinion on 12th July with his wife Fran and sons Ben and Simon at his bedside. Jo was born in Cardiff and moved to Bristol as a young man where he met Fran, a young Welsh girl from Abercynon who was a student nurse at Bristol Royal Infirmary in 1971. They married just three months later and had a long and happy marriage of nearly 51 years. They had two sons, both of whom Jo was immensely proud of, Ben born in 1975 and Simon born in 1979. The Gluck family moved from Bristol to Llanfair Caereinion in 1980 where Jo set up a successful antique restoration business and retail showroom of mostly antique pine and oak furniture known as Heritage Restorations. Jo was an exceptional craftsman with the highest standard of workmanship in everything he did. He made his home, business and garden into something really special, and transformed what had been open fields into a garden with beautiful woodland and a lake, full of interest and wildlife, he especially loved the natural world, it really was his life's work and love. He was a sensitive, gentle and kind man with the greatest sense of humour right up to his death. He retired in 2005 and Fran retired as a Practice Nurse a year later. They had a very happy retirement, bought a campervan and had many wonderful adventures accompanied by their cat Neville. He was adored by his family, and loved by his many friends. He will be hugely missed by all who knew him.
