Wanderers’ ambitions for Mid Wales League

NEWTOWN Wanderers have confirmed the club’s ambitions to push for promotion to senior grade football.

The club, formed in 2010, has established itself in the community as tenants of Newtown Football Club’s Latham Park.

New ground criteria for membership of the Spar Mid Wales League which would allow the club to continue to play at Latham Park has also been confirmed.

Spokesman Dafydd Evans said: “Newtown Wanderers will be playing for promotion as we are always developing as a team.

“We have shown we can compete in the league above and if in a position to challenge for promotion to the Mid Wales League we would take it as progression.”

Maesyrhandir Football Club have also recently confirmed their ambitions to pursue promotion to the Mid Wales League while playing at Latham Park.
