NEWTOWN travel to Rhyl on Sunday (3pm)l unbeaten in 2017 and looking to all but  seal their Dafabet Welsh Premier status.

The Robins require four points from their remaining four games to  ensure their top flight status while victory at Belle Vue against a leaking Rhyl side will add to their hosts deepening relegation fears.

The sides meet in contrasting form with Newtown flying high with league top scorer Jason Oswell’s last gasp strike earning a point in a 2-2 draw against Llandudno last week.

Manager Chris Hughes said: “It was a dramatic finish and an important point in the end. Credit to them, they sat in and made it difficult for us, we had lots of possession and didn’t really turn it into chances. We got into good areas, but didn’t work the keeper enough.”

The Robins left it late to save themselves a point but the roar around Latham Park as Oswell struck  has given the Robins further inspiration as they seek to secure seventh spot and a place in the end of season Europa League play-offs.

“We are pleased with the comeback and the point, and now we can take the momentum into the next game,” said Hughes.

“We are in a good moment, confidence is high, and the endeavour we showed speaks a lot for what we have.”
