Central Wales Cup
JOEY Price’s hat-trick inspired Radnor Valley to a 4-2 win at home to Tywyn Bryncrug to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the Central Wales Cup.
The home side welcomed club captain Ieuan Price back to the fold following a three month injury lay-off and hit the ground running.
Oliver Jones shook the bar inside the opening 10 minutes before Price broke the deadlock with a quickfire brace.
The visitors hit back with Nick Williams leading their riposte with a brace to level the tie before Valley restored their advantage with Price completing his hat-trick from the penalty spit after Callum Matthews was fouled.
Price was denied a fourth by the woodwork before teenager George Davies settled Valley’s cup triumph late on.
Manager Paul Morgan said: “We now have a tough quarter-final at Aberaeron but we believe it is winnable and make the trip with confidence.”
