A Powys secondary school has provided an update after a gas leak forced the school to close today (Tuesday, January 23).
Llanidloes High School closed its doors for safety reasons after there was no heating in the buildings due to a gas leak.
The school alerted parents that it would not be able to open on Monday evening and stated that it was because of a utilities failure on site.
An update has now been issued by the Powys market town secondary school telling parents that pupils will be able to return on Wednesday (January 24).

Earlier today, hundreds of pupils were told that they had a day off school after a gas leak meant there was no heating for classes to carry on.

"Pupils are encouraged to catch up on homework, revise, or read a good book, especially if it's part of our Accelerated Reader programme!"
