Firefighters in Machynlleth were called to extinguish a vehicle fire near Mallwyd yesterday.
A statement on social media from Machynlleth fire station said firefighters were called to the incident at around lunchtime yesterday, September 8, which saw a Land Rover defender almost completely destroyed by fire.
Crews had earlier been called to assist on an incident in North Wales, and appliances could be seen heading through the town as crowds gathered ahead of the Tour of Britain cycle race around midday yesterday.
A statement said: "2 calls for 02P1 so far today, first one at 11:20 to assist our colleagues over the border in north Wales and second one at 13:10 to a vehicle fire in the Mallwyd area."
