Dewi Hughes and Newtown WS chair Nicky Morris 

DEWI Hughes will be spending his summer coaching football in Toga.

The Newtown teenager (pictured) is taking part in the Projects Abroad Volunteering scheme in the West African country where he will be coaching adults as well teaching English in school.

Hughes is a graduate of the Newtown Whitestars Junior Football Club set-up which has supported Hughes’ summer project by donating old kits to the cause.

Hughes is a student at Newtown High School while making the step up to senior football with Spar Mid Wales League One side Montgomery Town this season.
