North Wales Lge One

Llandudno 17

COBRA face five cup finals to preserve their treasured first division status following defeat on the North Wales coast.

Defeat at Llandudno left the Meifod side five points away from safety with crunch clashes against relegation rivals Bethesda and Ruthin on the horizon.

Despite injuries to key players Bryn Edwards, Lloyd Bright and Edward Davies the visitors held their own in the first-half and could have broke the deadlock only to be frustrated in key areas while Ieuan Williams also spent a spell in the sin bin.

Llandudno gradually imposed themselves and following spells of pressure managed to cross the whitewash with tries from Ryan Pike and South African Johann Van Heerden with Pike adding the conversions and completing his tally with a penalty.

COBRA: B Edwards, H Jones, N Williams, Bright, R Evans, Hughes, E Davies, Jukes, B Davies, R Jones, Worthington, Vaughan, I Williams, White, R Jones. Reps – Robson, Roberts, Launder, M Jones.
