Frances in fine form to win at Bangor-on-Dee

IT WAS the tenants presenting the landlord with the victory cup at Bangor-on-Dee last Thursday in the Yorton Stallions Mares' Novices' Chase.

Yorton Stud Farm, presented the win to James and Jean Potter, owners of Stephanie Frances who romped to victory in the race.

The horse, trained by Dan Skelton and ridden by brother Harry Skelton, was the 4/6 favourite going into the race, and came home by 10 lengths to take the race.

In the next race, trainer Kerry Lee, from Presteigne, saw horse Goodtoknow, ridden by Jake Greenall finished eighth in the Anne Duchess Of Westminster Memorial Handicap Chase class one.

The 20/1 shot held up in good touch, and jumped well but weakened when four from home.

The winner was 7/1 shot Valadom.
