LOCAL artist Osian Gwent has been selected to exhibit his expressive landscape paintings of Wales at an Exhibition of Contemporary Welsh Art for an annual Welsh cultural event based in London.
Osian Gwent’s work will be exhibited alongside a number of other notable Welsh artists at the exhibition which takes place at the London Welsh Centre from Friday, March 9, to Saturday, March 10, as part of the Wales Week in London.
This unique event provides the opportunity for visitors to enjoy an exclusive exhibition of Welsh art in London, with the chance to purchase original work.
Osian said: “I felt honoured and overjoyed to be selected as one of the artists to represent Wales in London.
“To be represented on a national level, is a huge milestone in my career.”
His work is inspired by an emotional response to the natural world, in particular to the texture and quality of light, which is a vital part of the mood of his paintings.
Based in Llanidloes with a studio and gallery in Aberystwyth, Osian is a proving a dynamic and prolific new talent, who is gaining regional and national recognition.
